She sets the ambience for the theme of the song with beautiful imagery painted by her words. 2. नीला पानी और नीला आसमाँ, रातों में सितारों पे आशियाँ, ढूँड ने उसे जाएँ तो कहाँ, होता भी है क्या ऐसा कोई जहाँ, niilaa paanii aur niilaa aasmaa.n, raato.n me.n sitaaro.n pe aashiyaa.n, Dhuu.nD ne use jaae.n to kahaa.n, hotaa bhii hai kyaa aisaa ko.ii jahaa.n, आशियाँ – home, nest The chorus further enhances the imagery already painted by the girl by saying in the first two lines of the stanza, there be just turquoise water and turquoise sky and a home in stars in the night sky. In the last two lines of the stanza, the chorus suddenly raises a philosophical question as to where do we go to find such a wonderful world of our dreams and whether it does, if at all, exists anywhere? 3. जब नींद खुली देखा ये जहाँ, है कहाँ ये वो ख़्वाबों सा जहाँ, ख़्वाबों का था बस गहरा एक कुवाँ, हम को ही था शायद कोई गुमाँ, jab nii.nd khulii dekhaa ye jahaa.n, hai kahaa.n ye vo KHvaabo.n saa jahaa.n, KHvaabo.n kaa thaa bas gahraa ek kuvaa.n, ham ko hii thaa shayad ko.ii gumaan.n, कुवाँ – well गुमाँ – doubt The guy, with pragmatism and with circumspection, states with a tinge of scepticism, when I woke up to find this real world that is no where near to our world of dreams, and, as if, my dreams were just like a deep, dark well, and, probably, it was my own illusion and not reality. 4. कोई हो 'अता, प्यार के सिवा, गर हो तो मोहब्बत का हो ख़ुदा, तू दु'आ करे और मिले सिला, मैं दु'आ करुँ और तू हो ख़ुदा, The crescendo has a beautiful tinge of Sufism with the girl, guy and chorus together expresses their desires, if there be any gift other than love, it be the God of love, and, if you pray, you get rewarded your wishes at once and when I pray you be the God who listens to it, thereby either way we get whatever we want.
